"Smooth, Orderly, and Seamless transition of power" - this happens in the 17 sec. cut shot.
Someone just reported on twitter that Pompeo switched his tweet timing to 15 min. apart after trump's speech tonight. There was a response in the thread leading to drop 498

We may have just entered the countdown folks.
I had a thought today at work... If Pence and Congress are the first to be arrested for certifying the fraud (treason), that takes out the first 3 people in the chain of succession. Pompeo is next in line after Grassley. To my knowledge, he is the only one who has directly talked about transitioning to a 2nd Trump admin. Kayleigh, Scavino and Trump himself have only talked about a transition, never mentioning to whom.
Q asked in some of the early posts why the chain of succession is important.
Additionally, for what it's worth, Juan O'Savin made a point on Rogue News a few weeks back that it matters less who is pres on Jan 20, and more who is pres on April Fool's Day.
It is a total crapshoot, but is it possible Pompeo becomes acting POTUS while the arrests take place, then hands it back to Trump afterwards, for reasons of optics? Temps can be useful right?
Presidential succession is an interesting question. The Constitution says Congress can make a law deciding the succession (20th Amendment), and they did.
However, some people think that statute is unconstitutional, in part. It says the Speaker of the House is #3 in line, but the Speaker is not an officer of the Executive Branch (being an officer of the Legislative Branch). Some think that makes anyone in the House or Senate ineligible for presidential succession. If so, that would make Pompeo the automatic #3 (Sec. of State is the next in line, if members of Congress are not eligible).
The other issue is Pence. What if he is arrested? He would have to be impeached by a Congress that would also have a lot of members arrested. They would have to have enough members to hold an impeachment hearing and trial. If he was impeached and removed from office, Trump could name a successor VP, like Nixon did.
Enter: Gen. Flynn.
That's funny. For some reason I seemed to think the same about the presidential succession and Gen. Flynn.
The fact that horse face could be implicated in the fraud would lead to Grassley I thought, and now that you bring up the fact that only executive branch is constitutionally capable of being next in succession, yes it's Pompeo.
I also assumed all the time that Trump et al always going on about "new administration" meant that it wouldn't be either Trump or China Joe, but someone else like Flynn being president.
Possible. I know someone who works in the State Department and they have nothing but good things to say about Pompeo. He's a well know straight shooter so to speak.
