Adam Sandler usually plays the same archetype in every movie he leads in; a happy and successful wise-cracking self aware playboy fantasy getting himself into an odd situation. His movies often start with lowbrow humor regarding his self insert archetype, but as the plot unfolds, gradually transitions to more serious comedy drama, despite occasionally keeping the low brow humor as comedic relief. Who and what does this remind you of?

In addition, even if you don't like most or all of Adam Sandler's movies (who does?), he has been known to be a very nice guy. Also, notice how he used to be a liberal Republican, and AFAIK has never attacked Trump. We all know what it means when a celebrity has TDS, Adam Sandler will probably be the only well known actor left that isn't hated, in jail, and/or executed for "heinous crimes" once this is all over.
