Mozilla: "[Our actions require] more than just... removal of bad actors from social media... [we must also] turn on by default the tools to amplify factual voices over disinformation."
And who will decide what is "factual" and what is "disinformation"?
Your browser.
Yeah I don't subscribe to that bullshit. That's the issue I'd like to resolve.
Yeah, they are deep into the cult. It does not mean the browser is bad.
To enforce censorship on the client side of a browser, is quite a difficult task, and given the open source nature, this would not sit well with the regular autist crowd.
Leaves: censorship via DNS.
That is easily circumvented as DNS is a preference. Of course they could totally lock this facility, but then again, it is opensource and easily forked.
It may be that certain addons may be dropped. Big deal. Use a fork.
Switching a browser is a far more simple matter than completely switching an OS. Unfortunately stuck in that department.
I pick the fights I can actually fight.
Brave paired with DDG
I like the sound of that.
Both have mobile apps too.
DudkDuckGo. Doesn't save your search history. But isn't it owned by Goog? That makes me a bit leery.

Well I was banned from Twitter long ago for calling Islam a "murderous death cult" lmao.
I've been using Dissenter Browser (Gab affiliated), which is based on Brave. Quite slick and reliable.
https://dissenter.com/
For Android, I use this Iceraven (fork of Firefox): https://github.com/fork-maintainers/iceraven-browser
Also recommended is the Bromite browser a.k.a. vanilla/bland Chrome fork:
https://www.bromite.org/
Then add the uBlock Origin addon and install Blokada app to get rid of ads (select Energized Blu)
https://blokada.org/
Of course, lastly there is Tor Browser: https://www.torproject.org/download/
DuckDuckGo
Thank you for all the suggestions frens. I'll check them all out and choose one.
I'm using Brave browser with ResultHunter.com as search engine.
What are you using now? Chrome?
Consider this. Why would you want to use a browser that completely allows for fingerprinting? The "experience"?
Consider a textbased browser.
Additionally: while you are at it: Question your whole rack. OS + applications + access + firewall + VPN
As soon as you need not input any effort, and it is geared towards experience and ease of use .... and free: You are the milkcow.
Firefox which is why I made the post. :)
How come? What is the issue you like to solve?

Why would you use a browser from a company that actively supports any of this? No thank you just on principle alone.
How about your OS? Are you just as principled?
if yes, what then are you using?

YANDEX - NO KIDDING. ALSO HAS SOME NICE FEATURES.
A nice Firefox alternative is Waterfox. There isn't a mobile version though. Edit: oh looks like there is/was a mobile version.
I think Fennec Fox is a mobile fork of Firefox, available either as direct side load or off of F-Droid app store.
I switched to Brave, had read long ago Brave was compromised too but can't find that now, maybe it is better.
Been using it for a good while now, it seems ok, but then so did muh Waterfox.

Brave is awesome. Been using it since it started. Never looking back.
I use this https://apps.apple.com/us/app/duckduckgo-privacy-browser/id663592361 and never look over my shoulder
I've seen Proton Mail recommended quite often but I personally don't know much about it.
