On TDW, where I mostly operate, I created this timeline of events regarding the Vatican Blackout. Many of the details seem to be as much of a mystery to TDW as it does here, but I hope it can aid you in your research.

No, unfortunately.

This article is also highly suspect, but it could very well have a bit of truth to it. It was recently updated as well so it seems they're sensitive to how sensational the news is:

"UPDATE: It appears that Pope Francis tweeted out this morning, however Conservative Beaver has confirmed Pope Francis has a social media team that schedules his posts, and this one was pre-planned. If you click on the tweet, you can see TweetDeck was used to schedule the post.

Pope Francis is still in Federal Custody in Italy, hence, he has not been seen on video. The FBI are enroute for the interrogation, according to sources."

It is unclear what they mean by FBI, since the FBI as it pertains to the US is probably a hostile actor and shouldn't even have jurisdiction in Italy.
