I think we should note that its POSSIBLE that the impeachment is not to kick Trump out of office. Its to prevent him from holding further office. A comment below in that article called it out. Someone who was part of President Grant's admin was impeached and convicted AFTER he left office and was no longer able to run for public office in the future. My problem is why should they even care? Theyll just cheat in 2024. Its probably optics. Does anyone know if they are trying to RUSH impeachment? That would indicate they really are trying to get him out. Personally i dont understand why they havent voted already.
Trump has ZERO interest in running again for anything in the future.... He's almost 80....
If Trump doesn't clean all this up now, the communists will forever cheat whomever they want into office from here on out....so EVEN IF Trump COULD run again, they would just cheat him into a loss all over again...
It is about the optics. Have you heard anyone really talking about the election FRAUD lately? No? Because they are doing exactly what they do every time. Nancy turning the narrative to white privilege and the "riot" recently. The narrative wasn't working, had to get into that next "news" cycle. If people haven't figured out what is going on by now? Doesn't matter. If the Senate isn't in session to receive the charges/complaint, it sits until the Senate is available to receive it. And since a pro forma session doesn't involve outside business and is basically only for the Senate, meaning they're closed for everyone else, they won't be open until 1/19.
McConnell is still Senate Majority Leader until the inauguration. He needs a unanimous vote from the current Senate to convene for this, and Cruz alone will vote against it and shut it down.

Maybe the plan is to let them do exactly that, than they dont even need all of the evidence they have. That would be more than obvious to the military if they go through with this
The president can pardon himself, his family and anyone else he wants to. I hope this is part of the plan just in case. They all know that impeachment isn't an option. They are throwing crap at the wall to see if it sticks, as usual.
My thinking was how quickly we forget stuff. We just went through all this in 2019.
