The PRIMO water? That is seriously the best water you can drink. I usually keep about 15 5 gallon containers on hand.. about 40 days worth of water for me.
I don't want to pitch a sale for them, but its RO, flouride free, ran through tons of filters.. It taste super good compared to tap water... Youre going to be digging into a liquid treat IMO..
If you have two bathtubs keep them full of water. You will need water to flush. Refill back of toilet after use. Do not flush if performing number 1 . Dont be wasteful. Go buy as much drinking water and storage containers as you will need. Fill trash cans if they are new or can be cleaned thoroughly. Water is critical capture all you can.
I would expect most power outages will occur near major dem controlled cities, but that is not including an EMP in the scenario..
I have several deep freezers I need to keep going, so I am in a bit of a pickle in those regards. However, I still have enough food on hand to last me a very long time.
Hope for those of us in the colder climates the power won't go out. Had to deal with that twice before in recent years during the biggest cold snaps. No wood burning fireplaces or stoves makes things difficult.
Why would you live in a cold climate with no wood burning stove?
I ask this as someone who lives in a cold climate most of the year and I of course have a wood stove and a woodpile to feed it. It's actually my main heat source. I can understand not having one if you're physically incapable of the work required.
In that case, I would recommend a pellet stove with a backup electrical source for it and lots of bags of pellets.
I said "colder climates" meaning we get winter here but not 9 months out of the year. Nobody I know of in my town has wood burning stoves, and we out here in MN. But it still gets cold if it wants to here. But we're not Alaska.
OP here: if we lose power over extended periods, wouldnt water tower pumps be cut and eventually municipalities run out?

Thankfully I can melt all this snow, but yeah if you do not live near water I would get a least grab a few gallons just in case.

I think it would be highly unlikely to cut anything but comms. Cutting power could endanger some people's lives.

Probably not that long. Until the operation is firmly in control. I just can’t imagine 10 days that would cause a lot of death.
