Seeing more and more posts about this possibility. I'm not talking about building a bunker or having 6 months worth of supplies/ammo stashed around the state. What should we do at the very minimum just in case? Cash? Gas? Food? Will the military interrupt everyday normal movement? Schools close? etc....or will it be targeted areas only and the rest of us don't notice and go about our day?

I don't think anyone can give you an honest answer that will be 100% truthful.
We are in an unprecedented time and unprecedented measures are being taken.
Spend a day without using electricity and not using your debit card. See how you get along, what do you need to do to make that day suck less if it lasted days, weeks, a long time?
This is a great idea?
My mom said it will be the boredom and the lack of instant/convenience. You don’t think books, cards, board games, yarn/knitting in the forefront of prepping. We used to “play” little house on the prairie when we were kids. My dad would work on the house on a generator but we cut the power to the whole house, sometimes the water. My mom now says it was for practice but she made it fun.
Have food enough for 2-3 weeks and stay home. I doubt you will need any cash or gas unless you live in a major city you will be safe.
Are you serious - no cash or gas ??? What are you thinking ??? If the grid would go down for a while -- how will any transactions be handled ??? Stop giving out Stupid advice!!!!
Well sounds like you're unprepared - good luck to you ?
It won't be that long. Keep your hat on. Q said it would be swift. The grid is protected except for a few sections.
But if you think the DEEP STATE is gonna win You better have gold, silver and plenty of gas, stored food for a year or more, and a place to hunker down off the grid somewhere. As a prepper I have no concerns if Q and the Patriots are in Control.
You're not going to be getting any gas or buying any groceries if the grid is down.
If the grid goes down - cash is the only way you can purchase !! You need to fill up your cars now in case you need to evacuate for any reason !!! It's not a matter if these things will happen - it's a matter of being prepared and to deal with the worse outcome !!!
You need cash and gas in your car - pretend it's a hurricane coming through or a blizzard - same kind of planning !! We just don't know so get prepared. Have food water dry food - No one knows for sure - you can never over plan but if you under plan - you're screwed !!!
Cash enough to cover expenses for a couple of weeks. the cash can always be put back in the bank if not needed later.
Food and water for yourself and fam for a couple of weeks. It'll get eaten anyway eventually so no real risk of losing money there.
Fill your gas tank(s) on your vehicle(s).
Two weeks of groceries and water should do it. But that's ALWAYS a good plan, even in times of non-emergencies. It's just what any household should do. You never know when a natural disaster will upset civil life. If TSHTF, plan to stick close to the house, be prepared to defend it with lethal force if necessary, and keep your cool. A clear mind is better in an emergency than a panicked mind.
It won’t be a sweeping shutdown where you can’t leave your house. The point would be to minimize the amount of people outside their homes so law enforcement can more easily do their jobs and prevent infrastructure attacks. It would be like what has happened in places with covid: you can still make grocery trips and go to the hospital if you are sick.
In addition to making sure you have food/water...
Have a plan of action. If something happens and your home is no longer safe, where will you go? Make sure your friends and family that you trust know your plan.
Secure your home. Lock windows, doors, gates.
Don't stockpile gas, but make sure your car isn't on empty.
Make sure tools that you own to defend yourself are ready for use if needed. Ensure they remain safely locked away from those that should not have access to them.
Check in on family members that may not agree with you. Remind them you're there if they need anything.
And hard copy maps if necessary. Don't count on GPS. As folks drinving into DC learned recently
Definitely Gas, 2-6 weeks of emergency food and water, apparently toilet paper is a must have for survival(/shrug, i have bidets), a backup power generator is always good to have, satellite internet would be cozy.
im pretty sure during martial law there are very strict curfews in place. i think the times depend on the state though. breaking curfew during martial law would lead to getting arrested i think. pretty sure everyone will notice
And....If your bidet isnt working...
Have tons of those plastic grocery bags...if your toilet wont flush...pull bags over the toilet seat..Go in there and toss it outside...hope its cold enough outside for it to freeze. LOL
But seriously...better than the smell in your house.
That is the first good NEW tip I've seen. Cheers!
Hah perfect.
This is a pretty informative post by someone who lived through the currency crash in Argentina, hope it helps give some insight:

Have plenty of water supplies, canned foods, rice, pasta and books, candles, batteries, a gun or two if you have access to it, enough firewood to heat your place if that is relevant. Most importantly if you or a family member has to take medication, stock up on it.
I personally keep a stash of all of the above for 4 weeks of not being able to shop but I think general advice is two weeks.
Keep the gas tank in your car full... have 2 weeks worth of food stored up...obviously have water stored... a means to protect yourself/family... flashlight w/batteries... warm clothes available... heat source for your home that doesnt rely on infrastructure to work... battery powered radio for news... some books to read.
If it goes down it will be most likely in major cities....couple of weeks of supplies should be good...I dont think it will last long if it happens
Martial Law we have no rights anymore until martial law is lifted. Get what you can get, ammo, food, money for bills, and personally speaking have a B.O.B. on standby (Bug Out Bag)
I know bob's are a bit severe but look at it like this with my example, all I've got to do go get outta dodge is grab my bag my shotty and hit the road, I've got enough in my bob to get me far enough away from a danger that might present itself, granted I also live in the detonation zone of a nuclear power plant so that also is another reason I have a bob, but if you live in suburbia, your neighbors just might become your best asset, strength in numbers friend! Stay safe and stay informed!
I prefer != ? nerds unite!
If I were you Make sure you have a case of your favorite brown liquor and full tank of gas.
You may have to get to a red county quickly.
You will just see more military on the streets
ammo n lube
Stock up on non perishable food, bottled water, batteries, keep your car gas tank full. Have first aid supplies on hand (bandaids, antiseptic, etc).
If you have a handgun, have some additional ammo on hand.
Give all the glory to God Who has you on the brink of a spiritual awakening of the Truth. Give over all your cares and worries to Him. If you need supplies, He will use your hands to gather them.
