They do. Misinformation/disinformation is necessary.

Nobody here knows what the plan really is. We keep trying to guess and decode, but really only can verify some things from the past. The future truly is anyone's guess.

If we are uncertain of what's going on then they are too. Information warfare at it's best. I am fine with this.
