I see 3 possibilities:
-
POTUS pardons himself. This would be controversial in Trump fashion, and may or may not protect him.
-
POTUS temporarily relinquishes the Presidency to Vice President Pence, The then President Pence grants Trump a full and complete pardon, then Pence relinquishes the Presidency back to Trump. The risk to this scenario is Pence. Would he actually pardon Trump?
-
Nothing happens and Trump is subject to an endless laundry list of charges, criminal and civil.
Thoughts?
Pardon for what? As is always the case, he has committed NO crime!
exactly this, trump wont pardon himself because A: he has committed no crime and B: he will be president.
Why would it be controversial Obama pardoned himself along with all the criminal cabal for every crime they have ever committed before he left office. Thats why none of them could be charged before.
Why would trump have to pardon himself he hasn't done anything wrong. What crime would he bepardoning?
Do you have any idea at all how many people are doing life in prison for crimes they did not committ because the cabal wanted them out.
They also aren't billionaire 2 term presidents.
Or he stays on arrests all the cabal and case closed.
Even pardoning himself won't work. They would just find something else on him. He knows the stakes.
Federal pardon doesn't cover state charges. Piglosi made this clear in an interview...
