I believe it. Average citizens have no idea what kind of technology the military has.

Amen, and the gov actually does a pretty darn good job of keeping certain things very classified & secret.

Best examples I know of are the SR71 & F-117.

I believe the F117 was fully operational for something like almost 20 years before they unveiled to public.
