Covid originated at the World Games, held at Wuhan. Q4-19.

The multi-sport event included 25 official and 2 demonstrative sports. Six sport disciplines such as badminton, tennis, table tennis, women's boxing and men's gymnastics made their debuts in the event.

Military Competitors from around the world were purposefully infected.

Once they returned to their home countries, it spread.

It's not a big deal, in itself, being a variant of the common flu.

Common cold, not flu. Influenza is a different virus than coronavirus. They present similarly, but are not the same thing. Sorry for nit picking, but I think the distinction is important in discussions about covid.
