I'm watching the video from Ft Drum. Even with many natural applause lines, Pence and his wife got only a polite even lukewarm reception. Polite applause only. No huahs, to cheers.
Nada.

If you're down with Q, you have to hold the opinion that Pence is a good guy, and that his role on Jan 6th was as it needed to be. No two ways about it.
So most of the military's rank and file are likely not too pleased with him, which is exactly how most normal conservatives feel about him.
It's remarkable that he's visiting 10th Mountain today. Should tell you all you need to know.
Yeah, tough duty if he's on the team playing a necessary role.
If not, he's thrown his legacy in the toilet. His sons will bear that shame as will his grandchildren.
We'll know soon enough.
Trump said in his speech (not sure if GA or the one at the elipse) that it would take Pence “more courage to do the wrong thing”.
It could have all ended on January 6th, but now all the rats are exposed.
It’s a risk game, higher risk and higher reward (more swamp caught and arrested)
He said that at the Ellipse. Thinking back now I can see why we're playing this out to the last minute, if Pence had sent the votes back to the states we wouldn't have exposed as many traitors and assuming that the DS didn't counter it another way it might have just resulted in kicking the can down the road another 4 years.
Also watch this Pence video when he visited the 10th mountain division of Fort Drum.

Look at that pause and nod, that was certainly interesting lol.
THAT was weird. But exactly as though saying, "if you believe that, I know, it's unbelievable isn't it?"
Actually, didn't he say it would take more courage to do nothing? Not the wrong thing.
Nope, it was something similar to “it would take more courage to do the wrong thing”, like another anon pointed out, he said that at the elipse
He must have said both.
Likely, didn’t memorise the entire speech.
But you could tell that Trump was preparing us since his Georgia speech for Pence’s “””betrayal”””.
You know you're right about that. It's almost like Trump was setting up Pence to be the Brutus character, turning on his friend with a knife in the back.
Pence is like the shrodinger's cat, simultaneously traitor and patriot at the same time. Nobody knows which side he's on, he's playing the role perfectly. History will decide his fate.
well said
Great thread.
"Please clap."
If he's part of the Plan he earned his stripes if not, this is as good as it gets from here as his legacy will be up there with Benedict Arnold, notably also of Up State New York infamy.
Apperently he ended the speech with “the best is yet to come”.
Is that true?
Yes. And there were many other dogwhistles including comments like "Now more than ever, readiness is important." Stuff like that. To me, it seemed like he was trying to imply between the lines that they might be called to action immanently. Reception was definitely cool. I'd bet most of the people in that room think he's a traitor.
So if Trump's pep talk at the Ellipse is part of this, it must take great courage to play the role of traitor, when you're actually a patriot.
I'm reminded of an old anti-commie film I found on You-Tube of all places. It's worth watching honestly, "I WAS A COMMUNIST FOR THE FBI."
An undercover Fibbie joins CPUSA and plays the part so convincingly his own family disowns him.
But all is forgiven when he testifies in open court to everything he saw and recorded the Communists doing to subvert America.
You see, he was never a Commie. He was operating under deep cover all the while, even though it cost him those he loved best.
"YOU ARE WATCHING A MOVIE" ? ? ?
I dont recall that, no

"the best days of the greatest nation on earth are to come" then a quote from the Pledge of Allegiance.
It was not inspirational and ended with The Liberty Bell march.
Personal note: Liberty Bell march is one of my favorites.
But for Boomers (I'm GenX!) it's the theme song to Money Python's Flying Circus -- a farce comedy program. Quite funny at times. Sometimes blasphemous. Usually risque. Always something completely different.
She was almost ignored, her first applause line got no response until, it seemed, the men were "encouraged" to clap. At least that's how it sounded to this former performing musician.
Follow Up:
Afterwards, Pence stood around for handshakes and selfies. No autographs I could see.
The crowd had some obvious fair-haired tall White boys but mainly it was female and POC female at that. They stood out, so to speak, because they were not tall and strong but short and thick.
Strange.
Perhaps the real warriors are somewhere else?
I would imagine these poor guys and gals only have one thought after their trip home and that would be home not some dog and pony show. Family friends would be their first thought
Trump seems to have cancelled all the traditional "parting ceremonies" so the official reason is Pence is there in lieu of the POTUS.
Strange.
LARP, honeypot, AI, or a genuine covert psyop to prepare Loyalists for the denoument, this is the most gripping, engaging drama I could ever hope to see acted before my eyes.
