My friend did the ham radio certification. During the course they just dabbled in Morse code a little bit and she thought it was interesting and glad they included it

The Morse code requirement was dropped years ago but nothing is stopping you from becoming proficient in it. I passed elements 1A (5 words per minute) and 1B (13 wpm) years ago but have since gotten out of practice.

No. No Morse since the 90s or early 00s. Sad. Dumbed down. Now pussy antifa NEETS can get a ham license in a day of cramming.

I did 20WPM before the FCC and I'm not that old!!!
