Not sure if TIME is an issue in the constitution of when Prez. is sworn in on the 20th, but the law states the CURRENT Prez. term ENDS at NOON on Jan.20.
The Constitution, A20, says term of service for current POTUS ends at NOON of January 20. I researched, it does not specify WHEN a SITTING POTUS, and who is RE-ELECTED for second term, has to take the oath and be sworn in. In other words, can Trump do so PRIOR to the NOON of Jan. 20.
Making that interesting theory of Jan. 11 kind of making sense.
Who said it has to be Roberts? Could be any official, doesn't really need to be a judge IIRC. Been done before. Not sure why so many here are so poorly informed about the Constitution and legalities.
I agree. I have a question though, I know the swearing in has to be the 20th, does the constitution specify a time?
The reason I’m asking is I’m wondering if the dems might try to pull a fast one and swear him in at 1 am or something

Internet search the twentieth amendment passed in 1933. Short answer, no, it used to be in March

An hour before, transfer the power to the Secretary of Defense.
Chief Cuck Roberts would not swear Trump back in, so that would be moot.

Interesting. I thought it had to be someone on SCOTUS. Maybe Thomas could do it as petty revenge for Biden and the Anita Hill debacle.
