If you don't know the meaning of a potentially meaningful event during a national emergency and the reemerging of a powerful Free Nation, then you should at least find out instead of assuming you know Jack shit and dismissing it.
Im just getting at the point that if they cut comms to one consulate for any specific national security reason it wouldn't be specific to the newyork consulate... fact they specified means it likely that something happened that was localized. If it was a "national security threat" they would have cut comms to Russian consulates nationally...
