And then we see towards the end some Bradleys, Bradley command vehicles, and some other vehicle I can't make out (possibly an engineering vehicle or some other kind of support, but it looks like one per command vehicle). So that makes it look more like a full armored cavalry unit on the move.

Yeah that's bullshit. They had plans to build some CATOBAR carriers in the future but scrapped them due to budget issues. They have two carriers (one Russian scrap and another a clone of it) and they're building another ski ramp one of their own design. But they're all just big moving targets for our subs and aircraft to obliterate. They can't even control sea space, let alone project power ashore.

There is absolutely zero way any civilian would be able to infiltrate a military unit. You'd be sniffed out in a millisecond. And there's no way someone actually in the military could infiltrate a unit. You might make it a minute before someone figures out you're not where you're supposed to be. It's called a military ORGANIZATION. And the one thing NG does on a regular basis is organize.

I imagine a new capital wouldn't be formed, but rather federal agencies would be split up and sent to many out of the way cities, which Trump has talked about doing in the past (in the context of reducing congestion and draining the swamp). In that case perhaps DC gets re-vamped and only the parts of the government that absolutely need to be there get to stay (executive/legislative/judicial branch, maybe state dept) and everyone else gets kicked out to the sticks. Or we could have a multi-capital situation like South Africa, with each branch in a different city. Who knows. If Trump goes through with this we'd essentially have a clean slate to work with. Hell, we could get a whole new Constitution out of the deal (old one just doesn't work anymore, for obvious reasons)
Pompeo did say we would be going through "a transition of power"... mayhaps to a shadow government...
It only started in 2007. COG is something that's been around for longer with the Shadow Government and all that, obviously, but the COGCON scale was made under Bush. I doubt anyone who didn't have anything to do with COG would hear about it. I've been in for a minute and this is the first I've heard of it too, but I don't deal with COG in any way, so of course.
There will likely be several relocation places for various parts of the government and it's unlikely any of them would be an obvious target for a foreign military to strike. Think out of the way places that aren't normally associated with the military.
Could explain all the C-130 traffic we've been seeing lately in and out of DC to places like Minneapolis, St. Joseph MO, and Little Rock, as well as some others.
It probably is, but it's probably also a precaution they're taking based on this fantasy they have of an armed right wing uprising coming after them in the most heavily defended square mile of the planet (on a normal day) that is flush with enough troops to conquer a small country.
But who knows... maybe that's just the cover story they're going with so they can keep it a secret until the last minute.

Yeah, I was thinking about this today. Had Pence not counted the fraudulent electors, it would have made for a contingent election. Then the republicans would have back-stabbed Trump and elected Biden, giving the military no reason to act (if that's what they're in fact doing) as essentially the government would have thrown out a fraudulent election and then gone through a proper, constitutional method to elect a president.

They all flew in earlier this morning from Little Rock. They've been flying back and forth pretty regularly. No idea why. Same with some C-130's from Minneapolis and now northern Missouri.
