What the hell are they gonna do? Not get inaugurated?

1) Imagine what these people have managed to get away with over the years - and remember what they've 1a) been able to make the masses believe.
Think of the 2) arrogance that engenders.
Then put the 3) mainstream media in your pocket, à la Ceausescu (create your own press, and you inevitably make the mistake of believing it).
Add 4) normalcy bias.
Makes sense that they'd go anyway.
