Biden's speech today really looked like a self-eulogy. I would not be at all surprised if that is the intent of the DS. It checks so many boxes (2A removal, sympathy for the narrative, an enraged populace even more willing to give up freedoms, a direct path for Kamala, etc.) I would actually be surprised if there is not an attempted assassination tomorrow, assuming Biden has a chance to swear in.
