I've been wondering the same thing, but my sticking point is Antifa. Why would they still be allowed to run wild?

Unfortunately they're probably the lowest levels of the ladder, very good at red pilling D normies, and very bad optics for the DNC. Plus they're concentrated in D cities and literally taking out DNC offices now.
