I think the T38's are being used for something(other than pilot-training) as well...
Then there is all the circling, often by Herkies and C17's, which aren't planes who's normal use(transport or air-drops, and not much else) would include it, so I'm kinda curious about they put in them that would make this change in use.
It is fairly safe to say that use of planes outside of their normal or expected use is definitively taking place..
As someone that's flown trainers, we often had 20-60 in the air depending on the time of year and what kind of training we were doing. They aren't equipped for much else. What are you suggesting we're doing with them?
