Get on your knees and speak from the heart out loud to the Lord. He is listening. It doesn't matter what religion or lack of religion you ascribe to. The important part is you recognize there is only one God above. Ask to remove you sin, be a better servant, deliver us from evil and to protect those trying to save our Nation. If you're like me, I also ask to smite our enemies and deliver us victory in battle.
Makes me think of that Far Side comic "God at His computer" with his finger on the "SMITE" key of his keyboard lol.
