Also wonder about IP bans. I know it's not hard to get around them, but even small impediments might help. Also interesting to see WHERE the IPs are.

If you can get around an IP ban, your IP address wont (easily) give away where you’re from.
And I don’t know the anonymity promises of this site (I, nor anyone else I’ve seen, has ever threatened anything illegal), but I still know that in this progressive totalitarian nightmare, legitimate users would certainly not prefer to have their legitimate IP addresses tracked and stored.
TL; DR, there are better ways to accomplish what you (and I) want than through IP addresses.

True - was relying on the notion that some shills might just be taking zero precautions. I've seen a lot of them at work and they don't always exactly go the extra mile. I would not be unshocked if some of them got nailed that way.
