Are there dumb people in the military, yes, 100%. But I met a lot of extremely intelligent individuals in the military. And generally, people who have been in the military do much better in their civilian jobs once they are out. Most if the people I met in the military are significantly more smart and well rounded than the civilians I work with and met in college.
