I know that the Great Awakening is a global movement.
I've seen a post from one patriot from Czechoslovakia and one from Switzerland and another from New Zealand here.
What other countries are represented here?
What do you find interesting?
Amazing, isn't it? The only issue with it is, our forefathers did not follow up with governmental upgrades, as this was about preserving the old ways.
And afterwards a huge mistake was made. The Oranges were allowed in as viceroys. Time was not ripe, I guess.
Also a little unknown: Gunrunning from St Marten to support the US revolution in 1776. The governor there, saluted for the first time a US flag ship with gun salutes. He got into hot water with the government as the British monarch dictated the foreign affairs of the Republic back then.

This same mistake was made by Markies de Lafayette in France when push came to shove saying: the French people were not yet ready for a US style Constitution. (though he loved every bit of it, and worked to have it implemented in Prussia as well).
Bible stories where my first history books. I was captivated by the stories of perseverance, outsmarting and outright confrontation. Yet, when it comes to good governance, the bible is actually quite silent on the matter, other than to mention something like: restored the temple, or forced people to this or that.
Then I read: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_March_of_Folly
I belief we find ourselves in good company, as the US Founding Fathers were keen students of history and had done their homework.
Maybe I'll devote a thread to the issue of the liberty movement through time since the Middle Ages.
