I am not a believer in God, but I do acknowledge everyone's right in being so and I respect that but a general observation is that these people expect their God to solve everything for them and if something happens it must be because had a plan.
In that case "Mike Pence" was also part of the plan, or Hillary, or the rape and torture of small children, and I can continue with an extensive list of extremities that make no sense at all.
Sometimes it is healthy start acting with a bit more realism and don't put everything on God; we haven't seen him on Instagram, Tik Tok or Telegram lately did we?
I am a believer in God (organized religion, not so much...) and I think we agree, I just come at it from a different angle. I believe God answers all prayers, but I think sometimes the answer is 'no'. We're expected to 'help ourselves' to the extent possible, and I think God wants that so we become better people.
Everything is put on God because he has specifically told people to watch. Watching like a movie. Patriots are not afraid to DO, but this is a receiving moment. The only DO is sharing info and exposing corruption. The great awakening is more than Trump, more than Q. This is also a lesson in faith
The unresolved problem with people's understanding of God and the Created universe in which we live lies with not understanding the principle of how God's will is accomplished. God, as creator, created humans to also have creative capacity. Harnessing that, maturing that and 'creating ourselves' as mature good humans relies on that aspect. Thus, God's vision is in fact a joint project: God's effort + human effort = accomplishment of God's vision. God fulfills his part, always. But humans sometimes do, sometimes do not. If a human fails in a responsibility required to complete God's work, then the accomplishment of that work is postponed, and the responsibility reassigned to someone later in the timeline. This is why it has taken thousands of years for the world to get to the point we are now. Joint operation. So no, the rape of children is not part of the plan. But yes, thinking every single thing is God's plan is an immature view of the plan.
God is the representation of human minds. The coolest thing about 'god' is that he is the 'agreed' concept of 'good'. God varies through time and cultures due to varying challenges to survival and happiness.
Now when a 'believer' 'invokes god' its no laughing matter. Its like someone saying from the goodness in your heart do what's right like I have done what's right all these times. It invokes all the moments that kindness was bestowed upon you at no price.
It is a metaphysical business transaction. Because 'good' traces back a long long time.
You need to stop thinking of God only as a deity that grants wishes, "god" is part of transactions, just like reputation.
Who would you trust? godless hard to figure out person vs traditional adverse to lying/immoralities person? It used to be the later, but thanks to people like Pence the Reputation of God needs repair.
Christians used have ways to punish people like Pence, Islam sure does. Those who has a sword but keep it sheathed shall inherit the Earth. Not 'meek' fucks that let them get away with it.
When everyone you know or will know thinks you're going to hell to suffer for eternity, when everyone accept that's the proper fate for you, to live it is no laughing matter. It's why many atheists have such adverse reaction to religion instead of a logical one.
I had bad experiences with religious zealots. Knowing the other person think you are going to hell pisses you off no? then I realized they are living their hell on earth instead of enjoying 'god's gift' and I smile. How can one attest to the wonders of heaven when one scorned all the wonderful things already created on Earth?
If you dont believe in God, how can you expect to understand how believers believe? Your explanation of how believers believe is fundamentally wrong.
In this world we know we will face tribulation, persecution, and extermination for the love of His name. We believe and therefore we act (at least I do). Without faith, all actions are devoid of purpose. The desire to be free is not what drives people in pursuit of faith. It is faith what becomes the driver for people in pursuit of freedom.
Freedom on its own is void and empty, couple Freedom with Faith, and now the picture is complete. Faith without freedom is self sustaining. However, it is our faith that drives us to freedom. Faith emboldens us to act, not to ask that God that He would fix everything for us, but to aks Him that he would be with us in our journey to fix everything according to His will.
