I've been told that the missing badges may not really mean anything because that's supposedly a winter coat, could be covered up.
Question would be, why no tie?
He has on a white scarf, which hides the shirt and ties.
The specific topic of this post was the uniform and lack of award/insignia. I will say this one more time, as a marine veteran...there are jackets/coats (which are part of the regular uniform so insignia IS displayed) and there are overcoats, worn for inclement weather on which NO insignia is displayed. There are many different combinations of uniform wear, depending on the weather and the occasion, all having different requirements. Same goes for gloves/no gloves...salute/no salute. If you are not military I wouldn't expect you to know that. But I would expect you to not argue with someone who IS military. That one particular person is wearing an overcoat. No insignia is worn on it.
Well aren't you special. I'm not interested in addressing all of the extraneous supposition you're putting out there...only the original post and my certain knowledge of that answer. If you cannot separate simple fact from emotional hysteria you are not an asset. I'm not only assuming you are not a marine...I KNOW you are not. Also...you are really weird. I would normally consider that a plus, but you're too crude & uneducated to bother with. Further abuse from you will not be replied to.
Not this again. You don't wear your insignia/awards etc on an overcoat.
Don't know about Army, but Air Force wears no badges on Winter Coat, nor does the Coast Guard. He's in uniform underneath the Winter Coat.
The stance.
White Scarf!
Yes, white scarf goes with a winter overcoat, it is part of the uniform. Hence why you don't see a tie, the shirt and ties are covered by the scarf and overcoat. He also has on white gloves.
Is that significant?
It is a formal winter uniform. Overcoat, gloves, and tie included.
Help me out.. I just noticed that part!
Bottom guy has an overcaot on. No medais on an overcoat. FALSE.
Been there.
Done that.
All absolutely part of the weirdness; certainly not dispositive on its own.
But it's only getting weirder every day, folks!
Not this crap again....
LOL Meant as optic meme. I guess I should have written an epistle about how I am barely holding on to my Hope and could everyone on the board "feel" sad for me and hold my hand as I wander around aimlessly trying to find the strength to continue on in the Fight. My bad. Enjoy the SHOW!
Dress white scarf indicates full cold weather dress and therefore no medals and tie is hidden
The guard doesnt decide uniform. If he was ordered full scarf it explains his uniform. Thats all I pointed out. Everything else are data points of conjecture, true or otherwise.
Based on the "scrambled eggs" on the brim of the cap, I would say that is a Navy uniform. Army doesn't have "scrambled eggs," only Navy does.
Army doesn't. Marines probably, never saw it, but they are part of the Navy.
I tend to disagree. I was in the Army for a very long time and never remember seeing them. And, I worked for 05+
