I've legitimately seen more concern for child abuse from liberals because half of them were abused growing up. Typically boomer white Christian evangelicals had the entire issue put to rest when the media was still held as a foundational pillar of society, they called it the "Satanic Panic" and was something to be chuckled at, and a minor psychiatric interest field for "false memories" beyond that.
