Maybe. I'd certainly like to think so. Same lady who was saying the "alliance" was invading or going to invade China was also saying there was a major air battle with Iran/China on one side and US/Taiwan on the other. Considering a carrier task force over near India/persian gulf ... could be something happening indeed.
I grew up in suburban NY on Long Island and our fire department had the same thing, but now in Florida (in a much newer town) we don't have a siren and the volunteers all have radios. I think the siren has more to do with whether your town existed during the Cold War or not rather than if you live in an urban or rural area.
yup it goes off at 12pm everyday in all the small towns around here! I use to hate living in the country growing up, But I wouldn't trade it for nothing now!
Yep, love my little town. We are small town and it’s the best. Have our little market that I can send the kids to, small parades down Main Street for Holidays and everyone waves to each other. Wouldn’t trade it for the world.

UPDATE - Iranian official now claims sirens heard in parts of #Tehran are due to "technical issues".
Ok, THIS is a sign things are happening for real

Do you think this is good for us or bad?
alhamdulillah
Depends if there was an actual raid in progress or something else
Sounds like my volunteer fire station when a fire/accident happens! Damn I'm country as I write this lol

Thanks for the info, Yea I live in a town of maybe 1500. Firefighters here have pagers but still use the siren.
My volunteer fire station does this, too. They are right behind my house. It’s something I love about my little town. I can always say a prayer!
I’m originally from Illinois where it is a tornado siren and we’d hear it every Wednesday morning as a test.

That’s eerie. They kind of sound like tornado sirens. ?

Of course getting the shit bombed out you could qualify as “technical issues”. Maybe they have a Tehran Bob?
