inB4 I went and straight-up googled the gold fringe (because I've seen conflicting reports from patriots and "fact-checkers" - which means shit to me) and stumbled upon this site: https://areweallreallyeducated.com/what-does-gold-fringe-flag-symbolize/ Seems legit. But in the interest of fairness and transparency, I also found this: https://starspangledflags.com/why-do-some-american-flags-have-gold-fringe/ So I guess come to your own conclusion but it's very interesting.
