And propulsion is no secret either genius.....me262, mig19, sabre.....you know nothing of jet propulsion....yet you want to spread BS theories...
Straw man? You said: “ The knowledge of how passenger aircraft really fly is kept under wraps, of course.”
Lmao....I was telling you, you are full of it.
You do know that a turbofan engine is just a jet engine with a fan on the front, don't you?
They could, but fighters, for instance, want maximum power and are not so concerned with either noise or fuel consumption - although that obviously affects range.
So they often opt for an afterburner. That adds even more fuel to the jet stream and burns that as well to provide even more thrust.
Harriers did use turbofans to provide the vectored thrust from its Rolls-Royce Pegasus engine.
And you can learn how high bypass turbofans work.....you realize airline pilots must know how engines work? You must be European.....low tier pilots.
The jet engines are VERY a high maintenance....you show your ignorance. Do I drive? Yes, do I know how a internal combustion engine works....yes.
Do I need to? Well you are a prime example that they will let anyone drive a car.
WRONG....a taxi driver gets a “check engine” light....he pulls over......when you are hours from land over the Pacific, you can’t pull over.
It is time for your meds Joe Biden....
