Zig-zagging would be appropriate for countermeasures against torpedo attack. It doesn't particularly help you find a submarine. It just creates a lot of self-generated acoustic noise when you want to be listening for something.
It makes you wonder if any fleet submarines have been detached for this formation.

Four carriers & escorts in the pacific?
Why is that relevant?
To prevent other state actors from attempting to harm us during this transition? Russia / China?
Or conversely all for NK? Or all three.
Think logically about the timing of everything happening.
Note increased military movement.
Note NG deployments starting tomorrow.
Note false flags.

I used the Marine Traffic (MT) site, looked for Lenthall and found it off the West Coast. There are other 'US Gov Vessel' craft there, and they've been doing some zig-zagging. MT doesn't tell you the names of the ships, but you don't need to login.
Uninformed guess, submarine hunting?
Ahhhh you could be correct!
Been reading a lot of sub-hunting action in the plane posts lately. Sounds plausible at the least.

I really have no idea, maybe they picked up something that might have been a foreign sub and started counter measures to break up a soft target. idk.

Have they done this lately or often? Sorry, don't know much about fleet movement.
Me neither, but I'd also like to hear from someone who can put this in perspective
Watch the water!
Any idea how to filter for military vessels?
Had to pop in and say you have the best username in the history of always.
