Been buying a few onces here and there locally, the past few weeks has been 28 to 30 per "silver eagle" decided we'd hedge and grab a little more today "just in-case" and all six local dalers either won't sell at all or 47.00 per OZ is cheapest I can find, and that's a local pawn shop... Y'all having better luck locally ? Btw I'm in the sticks in TN. So maybe it's just a local issue?

C19 is the unassailable excuse for everything!
A veritable jelly-of-the-month club.
The bradford exchange just called my elderly father to lock him in to 12 coins for $500. I hate companies that prey on seniors.
when that 500$ is trash and those coins are still MINT it will have been worth it. whats the value you would put on it in this type of Dollar ending event?
Still taking advantage of a senior when you can buy them online for 420. Boy they will get a lot of extra silver for their charitable events
Yeah, premium is usually $2 over spot, not $20. I haven't bought in a while, but I think Ampex set the price for everyone yesterday.
Grand Rapids Michigan $35 an oz.
I picked up maple leafs for $26 oz. Bradford is peddling “near mint” coins for that price. Its not the silver itself but the “collector” value. Thats a hard pass from me.
I bought for $34/ounce on JM Boullion just now.
I got 27 on Friday. Good catch buying Wednesday
These silver Trump coins are still selling for $44 an oz. Bought a few yesterday. https://www.dismecoins.com/collections/silver-coins
None of my local shops (pawn/ antique dealers. No near by coin or metal stores.) have everything listed at going rate for numismatic collection purposes ($60 minimum/ oz). Thats why I bought some online yesterday and good luck finding any today, what little is left is $60/oz or so. I lucked out with roughly $38/oz all said and done.

American silver eagle available 39 each atm
Pawn shops are notorious for marking up prices and ripping you off when you sell. About a year ago, they offered my buddy somewhere around $0.30 per gram, which amounts to less than $10/oz. You have to find an actual gold and silver retailer if you want a good price.
Yeah, i only check this one, because also sells good priced guns and I've built a relationship, actual dealers locally won't sell... here atleast
Well guns are a different story altogether. ;) Just don't buy a Walther P22 from a pawn shop. They typically aren't aware of the manufacturer's defect.
That's strange that dealers won't sell, unless they're in a squeeze themselves. I'm from Texas and I've been to coin shops from Dallas to Austin and I haven't ever had an issue buying.
sue them.
4 bags of $100 walking liberty half dollars at $2600.25 per bag is $36.37 per ounce. I felt a little raw about it but am glad I moved faster than you anons did because premium will only go up even if spot sits at 29 for ever. Edit to say Midwest, Omaha area.
i got mine this morning for a fair price but the "Ol,Boy" had plenty... probably wont be the case by the end of the day... iowa city is about sparse as it can get
The silver push is MSM promoting bank stocks so they can cover the GME loss. It's going to go 30 to 25 all week to skim money. I love silver but I am out till this settles.
Anyone who was researching the market before now will tell you the same thing happened within the past year, when physical seriously decoupled from paper (which is what spot price is based on) I think it was last march but not sure
Talk about bad timing ?
Ouch. Get it here: https://www.texmetals.com/currently-available/currently-available-silver

Also sdbullion also. Idk if they have a current inventory list. There were just bars on jm and they got gobbled up fast
I just like cash and carry, don't like using a card...
Also, was just wondering why my local dealers refuse to sell unless absurd priced and if other areas were experiencing the same issues..

Easy to but a few coins. Don’t have to be a millionaire
The physical silver has been shorted and is highly undervalued. It’sa way to hedge bets against the fiat currency at least. Buying real silver messes with the short sold silver paper that’s being traded in the market. No harm in owning American silver. Very little of that left. Lots of talk from those in the know here. You can get both sides. https://wsbets.win/p/11SKLJwHXp/silver-breaks-apmex-stops-sellin/
It’s been going since last week. Undervalued commodity
