I am not a religious person but I believe abortion is wrong in ~98% of cases. If you chose to have sex, you live with the results. Most people with an STD can tell you that.
I believe the reason the church is so against it is to help raise another generation of abandoned children.
Why else would an organization that protects crowds of pedophiles in it's midst value the life of an unborn child? I believe the truth is that they want more disfunction and lost children for their sick bullshit. Why have tiny humans destroyed before you can extract that adreno?

Also, just wanted to add that there’s a long waiting list of people willing to adopt newborn babies. There’s no justification for murdering preborn human beings, especially just because you predict the child will be a burden or not have a quality life.

The pope did come out and say "its okay to have fetal tissue in vaccines." Which is kind of a round about way of accepting how you get that material. I agree with you that the catholic church head, [vatican] is corrupt even if only to their own standards.

The church is made up of individuals most of whom believe abortion is wrong. They are the activists making noise that abortion is wrong. Not the papacy or whatever.

Great question. I was just thinking about that today. So lets do the pedo answer first. It is integral part of being a High Priest of the Solar Cult. Historically cults such as those that worship the heavenly bodies, the Sun, the Moon, Saturn are all known for child sacrifice to honor the 'gods'. No different with the Catholic Church. It covers it up because in this technological enlightened age, these contemporary times, real science has proven that these pagan belief systems have no bearing on reality. Thus they continue to cover it up.
Now abortion. Although abortion should be the last option, and abortion really after the first 6 weeks is totally unnecessary, the Catholic Church pushes this moral question and the discussion of it onto modern society because it is true most abortion is not needed and wrong and is psychologically harmful to women, but it gets the benefit of reaching agreement with the Protestant Churches, in particular the Evangelical Movement on this issue. Thus secular and Protestant America gets sucked into being more and more Roman Catholic each and every passing day.
The Catholic Church gets is both ways. They get to keep on diddling little boys and girs, and in many cases sacrificing them, on the other hand bring the Protestant Churches to their side.
Now the question is how long can they get away with it.
