Seems like it didn't, but because he was killed is why we have the key to the encrypted files. We just dont have the files yet. Whomever has them, probably took them to Trump directly.
Yes they do own everything. However, Lin Wood's assassination news would reach critical mass before media can bury it, giving L. Wood more creedence and making him a martyr. Kappy wasn't nearly as famous as L. Wood.
