So, was watching NCAA Div2 wrestling on ESPN the other day. The guys would go at it ... no mask. Sweating, Breathing, sometimes bleeding on each other. At the end of the match, if you have ever seen a high school or college wresting match, the guys shake hands. It's a sign of sportsmanship and respect. Nope ... not this time. They did a 'fist bump'. I looked up why. NCAA rules prohibit athletes from shaking hands due to the Covid. No shit. You can't make that shit up.
THIS IS NOT ABOUT SAFETY.
THIS IS ABOUT CONTROL.
You got me thinking of grommets. Someone else here said they wear a mask made of lace, and nobody questions them. I saw a GIF (didn't save it, sorry) of a guy with a mask that opens and closes when he speaks... hilarious.
I think I saw that one too. I've been punching holes in the masks since this started and I can actually breathe better with the holes. No matter what your health is like, wearing those damn things interferes with breathing and CO2 exchange.
