The way I read it, there is a total of 16 hours allotted for testimony from Both sides, with time split evenly.
Democrats go first to present their case. (up to 8.0 hours)
Trump's team goes 2nd to present their defense. (up to 8.0 hours).
Democrats spent 6 hours on Wednesday, so have 2 hours remaining today. Then Trump's attorneys may begin in their allotted time. All testimony should wrap up by late Friday afternoon.
Then there will be 4 hours total for question and answer from both sides, likely on Sunday.
Then, on Monday, the Senate will vote likely 56 to 44 to find Trump guilty and impeached, but not by a 2/3rds majority... making it not very effective except as a propaganda tool. :>)

If I remember correctly, the house managers get 16 hours to do their thing, then Trump's guys get 16 hours to do their thing.
Is that not how it's proceeding?
I agree, I think it's 16 and 16.
