The whole song is about how he made it on his own, no agents, no record labels, no marketing, no having to sell your soul to the industry.
That verse with hail satan he's talking about after he dies. His fans that he's built such a strong connection with over the years - from his early days before he blew up - will miss him being gone and will want to bring him back even if it means trying to resurrect him even if it takes occult methods.
I'm willing to listen to your thoughts on the matter.
So if you go by your logic he is saying all his fans are satan worshippers then? So he couldn't put hail Jesus or budda, allah for that matter? Satan is the biggest deceiver of all! The best lies always have truth! I grew up listening to only hip hop I'm in my 30s. I just put the truth out there and everybody is able to form their own opinion as they have both sides of the argument as I have no right to judge anybody. So are you saying tom isn't pro satan, that he is too stupid to realize what he is saying? I was a big fan of tom once I heard whiteboy he was actually one of my top 3 hip hop guys he is a lyrical geniusI listened to bought merch, tickets to shows I kinda bypassed this house song, but it was always in the back of my head then he released that song we are talking about and I have not watched one video or anything tom from that day forward, Does that mean I'm saying everybody needs to do what I say, Nope If you're Christian I say follow the bible and the commandments. I would also ask myself would Jesus accept this and make my answer based on that! Tom had to know he had Christians following him and in my eyes, he gave us a big FU. So I did that back to him! Everybody has their own free will. Knowing this is a pro-Christian board I felt convicted to warn people that is all. I do not go around on his channels or anywhere else acting like I'm better than anyone. Thank you for actually having a convo and not just cussing and belittling me.
You feel very passionate about your convictions and I admire that. I think we disagree on this issue, but I welcome discussion. Agree to disagree.
I was raised a Catholic and that is what turned me away from Christianity for a while - the corruption, the scandals, the idolizing a man as the link to God as if he were a pharaoh, when the text itself says that we all have a connection to god who is ever-present.
It took me years to come back around, though in a looser sense. I don't go to church or connect with anyone on the matter, but I do have the belief and faith, and I'm always astonished as to how much of the Bible applies to today's world.
Thank you and God Bless you! We are all going to disagree from time to time and that doesn't make me or you lesser of a person! I'm sorry to hear that about your youth. I feel that would have had a negative effect on me as well. I don't knock Catholics but from my understanding of the bible when Jesus came and died for our sins, priests were no longer needed for that connection to The Father as you said. You should not worry about your church attendance as this verse comes to mind- “And when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites. For they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may be seen by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you. matthew 6: 5-6. The intimate relationship with The Father, His Son is the most important thing. I hope The Father brings you and your family many blessings!
Not house in the hills the song THIS HOUSE! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JtULGlOOkuM
Critical thinking, friend.
Man we built this fuckin' house
When my day's end
And it's vacant
And they bury me
With that only key
My biggest fans gon' break in
With a ouija board
And a box of chalk
Draw a pentagram, hail Satan
Try to bring me back
From that wooden box
Y'all tried to fill my grave with
