I've got some family in Vermont and man...that's a whacky state. They don't fuck around with their gun rights there, yet still fucking LOVE Bernie...it's such a fucking paradox. I guess you could say they are more libertarian than anything...as one of my cousins put it "Give me my gun, my weed, and leave me the fuck alone." Then when I ask about Bernie he just says "Yeah, he hasn't taken either of those away so I'm cool with him."
It is. I live in Missouri and when people talk about Texas and their gun rights I'm thinking, hell, ours stomps theirs down hard, no competition. We have an ability to conceal carry with no permit. Removing the recent political case against the couple who are lawyers in Stl, our stand-your-ground laws are also very strong. About a decade or so ago in the same city, there was a man whose truck was warming up outside his house, then someone jumped in and attempted to steal the truck. The truck owner grabbed his gun and shot into the back of the truck, striking and killing the robber, no charges were filed against the owner as he has a right to defend property OR lives here in Mo.
It's embarrassing Texas is not on that list. Seriously.
For reals! We probably own as many guns as all those states put together.
Thats probably why we're not on the list. But at least we have permitless open carry.
Texas does not have permitless open carry. that's why the cc permit name changed to LTC. Long gun open carry, yes. Handgun, no.
Belt or shoulder holster when open, with permit. Including visible in car.
One of the many reasons we're in the middle of selling our Texas house and buying rural in Oklahoma.
I'm disappointed in my state.
Yes... Maine and Bernie freaking sanders VT are and Texas no

And LA... shame.
Yeah, WTF?! Every other state will recognize our conceal license nice, but we don’t have constitutional carry authority?! What’s up with that?
