okay, a summary for a non-autist (please).. I started reading it whilst cooking dinner and homeschooling a non-appreciative middle school pre-teen (dear Lord, I know why some animals eat their young) .. I digress, I'm not being afforded the option to read it undistracted. So anyone willing to put down a summary, I would be deeply appreciative!
That person got a notification and probably got excited at the thought of having a summary to read only to open their inbox and see someone TLDR'd their request for a summart ?
Toolong; didn't read
It's basically a summary someone posts at the end of a comment when their comment is a very long read.
You know a Lot of people won't read 15 paragraph comments so TL;DR is a way to ensure your message is read by more people to at least get the gist.
When I'm preased for time I'll read someone's TLDR and if I'm interested in their message I'll circle back to their entire comment to get a more detailed and nuanced understanding of their message.
I didn't mean to be rude. TL;DR just means Too long; didn't read. Its a request for a summary. I didn't read it either, or I would have given you one. Cheers Fren
I know what TLDR means.. and I will read it later once I get the grandkid to bed... I was just hoping someone had already read it and could give me a brief summary to ponder whilst I was doing my chores... Cheers back at you Fren ✌

It's the opposite of a threadkiller.

TL;DR: It's a summary of a larger comment.
