I am almost certain they are required to take the vaccine so I am guessing the masks are simply for optics.

yea I know, it's some ratchet crap. My dad works for a hospital (they haven't mandated the vaccines yet, thankfully) and he said that the adverse reaction rate they have there is 30-40% MINIMUM. You know that almost 1200 people have ALREADY died from the coof vaccine, right? CDC was trying really hard to hide that info.

Apples and Oranges. One does not necessarily have to involve the other. The whole Covid issue is one avenue of attack that we have to at least appear to respond to. At this point the world is convinced that we are in the midst of a pandemic. Even if the Storm happened tonight, the DS fell and Trump is President tomorrow, it would not change that fact. Most of the sheep are not quite but almost paralyzed with fear of Covid. Otherwise rational and completely sane people are double masking, wearing pantyhose over those and who knows what's next. You can NOT explain to them how utterly useless and potentially dangerous that is. They simply will dismiss you because TV says otherwise. Even if Trump took over tomorrow and ordered either HCQ or Ivermectin treatments for every American " AND " the option to take the(shudder) Vaccine, the Country couldn't possibly completely Re-Open by maybe June or July if lucky. Some folks probably will wear masks the remainder of their lives and distance whenever possible. It will take time to wind down this whole Covid Fiasco. Hopeful more but doubtful that people will stand trial for Crimes against Humanity when the truth emerges.
