My mother died the last week of 2019 of a strange type of pneumonia. The doctor told me outright that her lungs were not exchanging CO2 and oxygen properly, but he did not understand why exactly. It was behaving differently than what he had seen in the past. We had heard of several other cases of "strange pneumonia" in the community that the doctors just did not know what to do with. Later in June 2020, I mentioned to my cousin that I suspected that Covid had already arrived in the US in 2019, and he startled me. He is involved in Emergency Services, and he immediately said, "Yes, and it started in November before Thanksgiving because we started running a lot of calls for people who were having trouble breathing." It might be worthwhile to go back in the EMS records and just see if there were any spikes in calls for breathing difficulties. I don't know what the facts are, but I am completely sure that the official line that we have been given ain't the truth.
I was symptomatic Thanksgiving morning 2019 and went on to be horribly sick for the better part of a month. Flu negative. Definitely not bronchitis or pneumonia, I’ve had both and remember the feeling. Reduced oxygen saturation. Horrible cough, and my lungs felt like they were filling up with jello every time I inhaled. Later antibody test in spring 2020 confirmed previous Covid infection.

Hope you are much improved now. I'm hoping that we can eventually get a real accounting of what happened, but I don't expect it any time soon.
