I believe it is a stylized heraldy belt buckle, used on crest-badges by many Scottish Clans.
Isn't there a clan St. Clair or Sinclair?
The first insignia belongs to inventor, John Q. St. Clair.
The first one with the 'cock' is originally from Clan Cockburn, also Clan Sinclair use the same crest-badge with a different motto and buckle end. The second one with the eagle is a special forces (intel) patch, likely ISA.
Why the downvote? I answered the emblems question.
The second one is for the Northern Virginia Army SpecOps team. They report to the President or SOS. They are a clandestine JSOC team.
The first one is used by John Q. St. Clair, the mysterious inventor. Why the down vote?
Thanks for elaborating and collaborating, I made correction and upvoted you twice.
