Is there are difference between saying the United States of America and The United States?

Both POTUS and Melanie distinctly said United States in their "goodbye" speeches after Xiden's inauguration. Basically bye to United States, but in the end both said God Bless the United States of AMERICA.

If I am guessing correctly the United States is the Corporation but the United States of America is the original Constitutional Republic.

Anyone else?
