Yes. I also hate most of the beats. Very repetitive/annoying. There is no creativity in them. They. Grate. On. My. Last. Nerve. And I HATE thug rap. It should be destroyed with FIRE!
I like some actual singing in rap and Tom does it well.
I have now listened to a couple more of Tom's rap songs and they are very good as well. I will look to buy his albums!
I had only heard of him in the last week or two as I do not listen to rap. This guy is a game changer for me. I spent all evening learning about him and his songs. He is on a whole. 'notha. level.
How religious are you? I've been loving Lucky Luciano's Exodus since I came across it. Dude made it as a southern rapper doing the usual stuff but he went from including one liners about being saved to producing an entire album that is fucking fire in my opinion. He talks about turning down offers to write/record verses for other rappers because they don't want him to include his faith in his music, but he still got his money in the end without having to sell his soul.
I loathe/hate rap with a passion unless it is an exception such as this one. I could listen to this all day long.
So you don't loathe/hate rap you just loathe/hate shitty lyrics? Which admittedly is most of rap, but still.
