Why doesn't the CDC have a sample of the COVID-19 virus?

A real sample or a picture of a real sample? All I've ever seen on TV and the internet are animated pictures of what the virus is supposed to look like.

Because it has never been isolated. Supposedly the CDC got the genome map of it online from China. But the truth is Covid-19 is simply the flu.
