Evil is evil no matter how many years it has been done. All this proves is that evil has always existed not that we should stop fighting against it.

I didn't say to stop fighting against it, just that it will always be around. It's also up to us to let police know if we suspect someone. Lots of people prefer to look the other way and pretend they didn't see something or didn't suspect something but if you suspect it then it's up to us to determine if police should be called.
