Dude...to expound. I worked B-52’s in SAC early ‘80s. I was new, was handed a FOD (Foreign Object Damage-acronym common in aviation) bag and told to go out and pickup “flight line”. I looked at the guys and laughed. I passed their test. Then there were the other examples, “prop wash” being a fav. ?

in the radio shop we would send the new guys to supply for frequency grease. or grid squares.

I was at KI Sawyer at that time and the way it worked there was " go over to bldg 10 and tell Sgt Smith that Sgt Jones needs 100 ft of flight line".
It was important the requesting NCO got the credit
