Christmas and Easter (Ishtar) are also pagan.
I knew Easter was but not Christmas... ???
If Christmas had anything to do with Christ, the world would hate it.
He never called for us to celebrate His birthday and only unbelievers celebrated birthdays in the Scriptures. What it is is a celebration of Antichrist.
He calls us to identify with Him through His death on the cross and resurrection, not through inventions or the religious traditions of men.
Oh, He sees it and He is pissed. People think that because nothing bad happens in the moment that God is cool with it. Two things I've learned by knowing God:
He will not be mocked.
The longer judgment takes to materialize, the more severe it is.
You are mistaken. Angels sang on his birthday, celebrating it, and the shepherds in the field listened to it breathlessly, no doubt.
the 3 Magi went visiting him to pay homage with gifts. (it pays for the journey to Misr, right), guided by a star. And they did not come because they were unbelievers, but because they believed.
Yeah .... some really peculiar people Jesus has been consorting with during his life on earth, Tax collector, prostitutes, Samaritans, pagans, and he was even accused of consorting with demons, well, basically, your usual basket of deplorables.
Jesus was a couple of years old by the time the wise men showed up (the scriptures state that he clearly was not a babe) and they did not arrive on the day of His birth.
Also, the star was given as a one-time sign and the Angels did herald the arrival of the living God.
Jesus did not celebrate His birth and a one-time gifting isn't an annual event.
Give me any record of any believer or apostle celebrating such in the Bible
Good argument. Though it begs the question: why had they come, if not for a birthday?
I do not disagree with you here, except for the fact that the Angels were celebrating. So, instead of being dismissive, at the least you could remain permissive, as that is the charge when it comes to celebrations you find totally unnecessary, or even unchristian
Though arguing that absence of record equals proof of no celebration is quite a stretch. What does Paul's birthday have to do with the message of redemption?
In terms of value, it does not seem to rank high (load of garbage), I would suppose, but then again, I cannot proof that, except inference
At the very bet your arguments are utilitarian. See those heathens killing on their birthday good Christian examples of faith .....
Given the spread of the practice, it does rather sound hollow and non-sequitur.
Christmas replaced the celebration of the sun, to bring Christians and pagans celebrations together. The sun on the winter solstice (dec21) is at its furthest point and shortest day. Then remains at that point for three days. Then it starts getting closer and the days getting longer. It’s the return of the sun towards us. Besides, it’s most likely Jesus was born in September.
Look into the celebration of Yule. I wouldn't call Christmas expressly "pagan", other than stemming from a non-Christian tradition. I will repeat the words of my mother on this one: "Christmas is what you make of it. If you want to focus on its origins, then it's pagan. If you want to focus on the message of salvation and spending time with family, then that's what it is. How it was celebrated in the past in not important. How you celebrate it now is."
But shepards watching their flocks by night during the coldest part of the year in the desert is not likely, and a baby in a stable at that time would surely die, along with anyone else who chose to sleep outside with him. Chances are Christ was born during spring.
Christmas used to be a solemn holiday where everybody actually mourned Christ and dressed in black until pope Constantine hijacked the pagan traditions of a different holiday and integrated them into the Christian celebration of Christmas. From what I read 20 years ago anyway.
why did Constantinople get the works?
That's nobody's business but the Turks.

i often wonder what does the pine tree have to do with the pineal gland. then i look into terpenes and resins and i end up at turpentine being an old folk medicine. So the dumb ass i am, some may say. i prefer to call it adventure science. i choose to see if it works. after all you can eat just about all of the pine tree and turpentine is just distilled pine resin. sure enough it works. teaspoon max. i only use a couple drops.
hah i saw a video two years ago or so that was about he simpsons predicting the world would be hit with a deadly parasite by tptb and went into turpentine being the remedy. i am naturally a dumb fuck so i tried it and i notice some positive changes. its gross as fuck to ingest so i dont keep up with it so much. but before the rockefeller medicine came around this was the stuff.
