What are some good search engine alternatives outside of Google? DuckDuckGo is kinda ok, but even that seems to be getting more &more censored. Any recommendations?

It took me most of the weekend to get my new copy of Internet Explorer 2.0 to work with Compuserve. Those were the days!
yandex is a russian search engine. Haven‘t used it much for political info though.
Yandex - someone below mentioned it but said they hadn't tried it for political info searches. I've found that it's the only one of the alternatives I've tried that will return unbiased searches for those political topics weighted all liberal by other search engines.
Qwant is good too but doesn't seem to return the same level of unbiased content.
SearX can be good but is a little more difficult to manipulate for the average user.
Qwant is pretty good
I don't know if these are any good but for the record:
https://searx.me/
https://www.yippy.com/
https://metager.org/
https://millionshort.com/
I've been using https://swisscows.com/ as my main search engine and it's been working well for my purposes.
Others I use include-
https://www.qwant.com/
https://duckduckgo.com/
https://yandex.com/
ResultHunter.Com
https://resulthunter.com/
I use SwissCow
Very private. They don't save any of your searches. They only track the # of hits to the site. Not where they come from or what they search. They have their own extremely secure servers.
While maybe not the very best search engine I've ever used. I like the privacy and it works for my needs.
Qwant
It depends on what you wan to use it for.
Sometimes you simply look into globesearch.ca. Contentious at times, but a lot of interesting perspectives, you won't read anywhere else.
But surely: Anything not depending on google may give you some interesting links.
Set up your own searX instance.
Recommendations: See: techxodus.org for browser choice.
Important: set DNS over HTTPS to yes. And NEVER use google, cloudflare DNS, unless you are absolutely sandboxed.
Startpage is my goto.
