I though the bible said that every time a rainbow is visible, it signifies the contract between God and mankind that God would never again bring mankind to the precipice of destruction through the waters of a flood.
So, when the pope says: you should do something otherwise we'll have a second flood, he is not exhibiting a lot of faith in Gods promises.
